want to live in a world where magic is pretty, practical, and potent.
Oracles are consulted on a regular basis by moms, police officers, lawyers, and bankers.
And miracles happen daily.
I believe that we are living in the Age of Miracles right here and right now, that land and local communities flourish only when there is love, that stories feed us as much as good food, and that Wisdom is always worth seeking out.
I serve beautiful women experiencing their own underworld adventure and high-earning white collar professionals unafraid to walk a wilder path. I serve the love-lorn and love torn, artists, creatives, and culture makers. I serve the bullied and the beautiful.
The truth is that I serve whoever shows up because each and every one of us is blessed not broken. We all need to reminded of that from time to time.
My writings on living your best possible life through the Sacred Arts have been showcased in Elephant Journal, Kind Over Matter, Roots of She, Orion Magazine, Witches and Pagans Magazine, Tiny Buddha,Amulet Magazine, and Plant Healer Magazine.
I have been featured on Blogtalk radio, Ronna Detrick’s Sunday InService radio show, and New World Witchery Podcast. I’m also an old hand at podcasting myself and I co-host the very popular Talking Shop Showwith Theresa Reed, aka, the Tarot Lady.
When I’m not writing, teaching, consulting the cards, lighting candles, and sending out good vibes on behalf of clients all over the world, you can find me cuddling with my husband, finger painting with my three-year-old, crafting artisan products for my nearest and dearest, sipping coffee (Katz Bat City blend is my current fave), and feeding faeries in the garden. Also reading. A lot of reading and writing happens in my casa! And because all of that is not enough, I serve on several boards including: Director of the World Wisdom Program at Symposium Great Books Institute, Director at large of St. Johns College Alumni Association, and member of San Antonio Farm to School Initiative.
Fun facts about me?
Favorite Drink? Margarita, frozen, with salt.
Favorite Place? With my husband and little boy, anywhere and anytime.
When I was born I had a cleft pallet and the doctors did not think I would live through the week. My mom had other ideas. I’ve won many awards as a debater, actress, and singer in the state of Texas through elementary, middle and high school. My college thesis was entitled Black Magic Woman and was about finding wisdom in Euripides’ Medea. I have nursed all kinds of animals back to health and once painted a feral hog’s toenails bright red with silver sparkles (it was part of the “nursing back to health” process).
In my life I have posed for one artist only and the result is the picture to your right. It is my favorite image of myself ever, drawn by my husband.
Languages thrill me, word roots show up in my dreams, and I like precision in my terminology. To that end I’ve studied Sanskrit, Ancient Greek, French, and because I have lived most of my life in the Southwest, I’ve absorbed quite a bit of Spanish to boot. I do believe in faeries, blood, unicorns, tears, and all that dwells in between. I serve the Sacred Heart.
My in-depth program The Miracle Tree Sessions was created for women and men who want to discover how magic makes life sweeter and better, divination provides radical, accurate insight into big+small questions, and our walk with Spirit can be unique+intimate. The 2014 session is full but registration for 2015 opens up on October 13th (’cause its my birthday)!
