(Peaceful) Home for the Holidays Sacred Vessels
In case you missed it, all of the stores had Christmas goodies out ON October 31st.
My email inbox is already getting flooded with DEALS and STEALS and quite a few end of year inspirations as well.
So, here we are.
The holidays are arriving in full force with all of the joy, anger, delight, fear, excitement, anxiety, cheer, sadness, togetherness and loneliness that they carry in their wake.
For some this really IS the most wonderful time of the year.
We see people we don’t usually get to see, talk to people we don’t usually talk to, get to think about our beloveds and what would make the best gifts for each of them.
We break out old family recipes and have pots simmering and stirring on the stove top while candles burn and fill our spaces with sweet scents and light.
For others this is a one of the worst and hardest times of the year.
It is a time that seems to underscore feelings and realities that are hard to handle at any time, but feel especially poignant right now.
Feelings like sadness, loneliness, hopelessness, stress, and despair. It’s a time of feeling like there is never enough, stressing about money, and dealing with social anxieties.
And for a bunch of us we split the difference between the two above scenarios. We love this time of year AND it stresses us out.
In all of the above what I am concerned with is what we tend to miss or overlook, that this is a MAGICAL and LIMINAL time of the year when we can cast some of the most potent magical enchantments to support ourselves and our people not just right now, but over the course of the year to come.
In order to experience that magic we need to be able to be still, to listen, to be in a place of peace and calm.
And there’s the rub…because peace and calm are not, despite what the songs tell us, the feelings that our culture centers and supports at this moment.
Which is why we can and we are with the Peaceful Home for the Holidays Sacred Vessel.
What it is:
A sacred vessel made of sugar and spice and everything nice that promotes peace, goodwill, warmth, harmony, tenderness, and love…between family members, friends, relatives, colleagues, and for yourself to yourself.
These vessels are filled with my own recipe herbs and spices, some of which include: sugar, cinnamon, lavender, orange, neroli, cardamom, nutmeg, balm of gilead, althea leaf, deerstongue leaf, a sprinkle of gold glitter and rainbow ribbon candy to support folks in being both more open-minded AND sweeter!
Sold Out.
How it works:
Order the sugar jar and fill out the petition – making sure to include the names of family members, lovers, pets, community members, relatives, neighbors, colleagues, and even strangers with whom you wish to facilitate more peace, love, harmony, and goodwill during all of the holiday hustle and bustle.
Once I have your petition, I make the Sacred Vessel and work with it every day until January 3rd 2025 at which point I can dispose of the vessel or renew it – your choice!
Deadline All orders for Peaceful Home for the Holidays Sugar Jars must be received by Monday, November 11th at noon central time.
