Each Mercury Retrograde period has a unique set of challenges and gifts that those who choose to honor this time and dip their wing feathers into Quicksilver magic are able to discover.

This Mercury RX period runs from November 25th – December 15th and occurs in the sign of Sagittarius.

When Mercury retrogrades in Sagittarius, the focus is on our sense of freedom and wisdom. Mercury RX in Sagittarius is an excellent time to reconsider any educational choices you have before you – should you go back to school, get that certificate in a specific skill, or embark on a new course of study? It is a great time to do some travel planning with an eye to the rest of this year as well as the next, and to make a list of what adventures your heart yearns for. This is also a great time to dive deep into your magical studies and celebrate your inner wisdom.

Because Sagittarius rules the Ninth house, speech, thought, and learning are especially likely to be affected during this RX period. Sagittarius is ruled by Jupiter which means that this retrograde period can bring about both big blessings and big challenges!

ecause this RX period occurs in a Fire sign, you do want to keep an eye on your physical health and vitality. It is traditionally not a great time to start something new or to travel, but you can sow seeds for both new ventures and future travel that will yield excellent fruit. It is a time when I recommend that you watch your travel plans, waist line (Jupiter loves expansion of all kinds!), and your relationship to places and people that you find strange, foreign, or unfamiliar. Sagittarius rules our truth-telling ability, so be especially careful to watch your words during this RX period. You can tell the truth and be kind…it doesn’t have to be either or!

Finally, given the dates of this Mercury RX, it is safe to assume that holiday plans may well be effected. Keep this in mind when it comes to travel as well as gatherings!
