What Is the Sacred Arts Academy?
The Sacred Arts Academy is the home base for all of my teachings — a comprehensive, living body of work that includes a core four-year curriculum in the Sacred Arts, plus workshops, intensives, live teachings, and new material as it’s developed. Divination, astrology, magic, ritual and ceremony, spirit work, folklore, healing, business — all of it, in one place, growing over time. just as we do.
It is the only program of its kind in the world.
When you join, you get immediate access to all available courses and materials. You study at your own pace or alongside your (optional) cohort. You join a community of dedicated practitioners who are doing this work with depth, integrity, and a sense of humor.
The word “academy” hearkens back to Plato’s Academy in Athens — which, despite what the famous paintings suggest, was actually a Sacred Grove in the heart of the city. A forest covered in offerings to the Gods and Goddesses, where curious souls came to learn, discover, and encounter one another.
That’s the spirit of this place. A grove. A gathering. A homecoming for people who have always known that magic is real.
The Core Curriculum: A Four-Year Journey
At the heart of the Academy is a four-year curriculum modeled after a tree — because a tree is an excellent model for education. We grow in our own way, at our own pace, becoming seasoned and mature in a way that is uniquely ours.
Year One: Spinning Gold — Roots
This is where we discover the Sacred Arts in their natural territory of folklore, myth, and fairy tale. You’ll be introduced to your seven natural powers — Love, Faith, Hope, Justice, Moderation, Courage, and Wisdom — and learn how they show up uniquely for you. Dream magic. Sacred Arts journaling. Active Imagination meditations. The power hidden within your name. This is where we stop spinning our wheels and start spinning gold.
Year Two: Wolves and Stars — Trunk
In Spinning Gold we looked within. In Wolves and Stars we look outside — at the living, sentient world we are in relationship with. The four elements. Divination as a proactive, diagnostic practice. The fundamentals of astrology and star magic. Plant, mineral, and animal medicine. Talismans. Holy Helpers. How to form alliances with the intelligences all around us.
Year Three: Remembering Ways — Crown
This is where we get specific. Different kinds of magical workings that are highly effective. Spirit contact. Working with the elements in a magical context. Integrating religious imagery into magical practice. The power of words, speech, and song. How to pray as a Sacred Artist. Creating Sacred Vessels. Candle work. Advanced dream work. Folk magic practices for every condition. Embodied divination. These are the particular details of the Sacred Arts that have been passed down generation to generation — and together, we piece them back together.
Year Four: The Three Rivers — Forest
Where Sacred Arts mastery meets real-world application. The Three Rivers covers the three fundamental flows that shape human experience — Health, Wealth, and Love — the areas where Sacred Artists have always been called to serve. You’ll master the art of directing these sacred energies with wisdom and skill, whether for yourself or in service to others.
Year Four also includes Mind, Body, Spirit…Business — our dedicated business training for Sacred Arts practitioners. If you’ve ever wanted to turn your gifts into a thriving practice, this is where you learn how — from someone who’s done it. Offering development, pricing, content, launches, money mindset, and the exact strategies I’ve used to build my own Sacred Arts business over 16+ years.
The journey culminates with Love and Divine Marriage — because once your health, your wealth, and your work are flowing, you have the spaciousness to give and receive love at the deepest level.

How It Works
Lessons are available in video, audio, and written formats. Study wherever and whenever works for you.
Cross-cultural approach. This training honors pluralities of opinion, experience, and background. All are welcome here.
No social media required. Students are not required to be on any social media platform to fully participate. You do need a substack account in order to access the SAA portal.
No prerequisites. You can begin with any course that’s currently available. You don’t have to start at Year One.
Study at your own pace or with your cohort. There’s no pressure to keep up. The material is here for you when you’re ready. You can go solo or request to be placed in a cohort group…and life changes and so do we, so if you change your mind we can honor that as well.

About Your Teacher
Briana Saussy is a Sacred Arts teacher, bestselling author of four books, and ceremony maker who has been doing this work for over 16 years.

Questions You Might Be Asking
Is this a religion? No. The Sacred Arts are a group of practices found in major religions and spiritual traditions around the world. I teach the core practices and ways of being, and you bring them to whatever tradition (or none) that resonates with you.
I’m a total beginner. Is this too advanced for me? Not at all. SAA was designed to meet you where you are. Year One (Spinning Gold) starts with fundamentals, and the community is warm and welcoming to newcomers. Many of our most dedicated members started with zero experience.
I’m an advanced practitioner. Will this challenge me? Yes. Years Three and Four go deep…advanced spirit contact, embodied divination, ceremonial arts, and business training that draws on 16 years of real-world experience. And the community includes practitioners who will sharpen your work. And honestly, even year one is a challenge for many advanced practitioners.
I want to build a Sacred Arts business. Is this the right place? Absolutely. Mind, Body, Spirit…Business is now part of Year Four, covering everything from offering development and pricing to launches and money mindset. Do I have to commit to all four years? There’s no long-term contract — your membership is month-to-month or annual, and you’re never locked in. Most members stay well beyond the core curriculum because the Academy keeps growing with new workshops, live teachings, and material. But you’re always free to step away and return whenever you’re ready.
How is this different from other Sacred Arts courses? Most courses teach one thing — tarot, or astrology, or herbalism. SAA teaches the entire ecosystem, connected, over four years. There is no other program like this. The depth, the breadth, the community, and the fact that it’s taught by a practitioner who has built a thriving business doing this work — that combination doesn’t exist anywhere else.
