New Year’s Eve Black and White Bathing Ritual
Black and White Sacred Bath
Time: this can be a short, ten minute bath or shower, or a long and languorous affair – the choice is yours!
Materials for Bathing Ritual:
1 tablespoon coarsely ground coffee beans
1/2 cup coconut oil, softened at room temp but not liquefied
Muslin or cheesecloth (optional)
3 cups milk at room temp
1 teaspoon honey
Process:
Combine the coffee grounds with the coconut oil and roll into a ball or place in a small jar. If you are worried about the grounds getting in the drain then scoop the ground loaded coconut oil into a muslin bath tea bag or several layers of cheesecloth. As you prepare the coffee and coconut oil focus on what you want to release and leave in the year that is about to end.
Then, warm the honey slightly and stir into the milk in a clockwise motion, focusing on what you wish to call in for the New Year that is about to come.
Prepare your sacred bath or show as you normally would. Begin by using the coffee grounds and coconut oil to exfoliate your skin and remove what you no longer wish to carry with you.
Once you have done that, take a moment to Cultivate Calmness, and then pour the milk and honey mixture into the bath (or directly over yourself if you are showering) and verbally call out what you wish to have more of in your life in the New Year.
Take as much time as you need to relax.
Finish as you normally would and be sure to put on clean clothes afterward.
