You buy it not because you expect your house to burn down. You buy it because you are a person who lives in a world where houses sometimes DO burn down, and you would like to not be standing in the ashes without recourse if yours does.
This is that. But for the current moment.
On April 19th, Mars and Saturn will conjoin at approximately 7° Aries.
In classical astrology, these two have a reputation. Mars is the Lesser Malefic. Saturn is the Greater Malefic. When they meet — especially in Aries, the sign of the warrior, the sign of conflict, the sign that has never once backed down from a fight — astrologers sit up and pay attention.
Globally, this conjunction has historically coincided with misunderstandings that escalate, skirmishes that become conflicts, and conflicts that become something none of us wanted to name out loud. The world is already tender. This is gasoline weather.
In our personal lives, the energy is subtler but no less real.
Mars-Saturn in Aries can have us acting carelessly at the exact moment we are most vulnerable. It can find us in situations that are more difficult and more dire than what we normally navigate — and feeling, in those moments, like we lack the resources to protect and defend ourselves when we need them most. It is a draining signature in a time that has already drained many of us past what we thought was our limit.
And yet.
Both Mars and Saturn are also, surprisingly, at their core, protective.
Saturn is the protective Sage — the elder who has seen everything, who holds the boundary, who knows which walls to build and which fires to let burn out on their own. Mars is the protective Soldier — the one who stands between you and the thing that means you harm, who acts when action is called for, who does not flinch.
These are the faces of these planets we do not talk about enough.

The Work
Fire Insurance is a seven-day ceremony worked on your behalf, beginning several days before the April 19th conjunction and continuing several days after — holding you through the peak of the energy and out the other side.
Before the work begins, we will connect via email so I can understand where this conjunction falls in your personal natal chart — what it activates, what it threatens, what it’s asking of you specifically. Where do you need the Sage’s protection? Where do you need the Soldier’s? What walls need to go up? What fires need tending?
I need to know where you are so I can meet you there.
Then I work. For seven days, your protection is on my altar.

✢ What exactly happens during the ceremony? I work a seven-day personalized protection ceremony on your behalf, beginning before the conjunction and carrying through the other side. The specific form the work takes is determined by the needs of your chart and petition — what you need protected, and how.
✢ Will I receive a report or recording? No. When the work is done, it’s done. I’ll reach out only if something arises during the ceremony that you need to know and take action on.
✢ What if nothing bad is happening in my life right now? Good. That’s the ideal time to buy fire insurance. Protection works best as prevention, not repair.

✢ When should I register? The ceremony begins several days before April 19th. Register early enough to allow time for our email consultation before the work begins. Registration closes on April 14th at 12 noon central time.
