Cut Through the Fog

The Well-Honed Blade

A Ceremony for Piercing Through Illusion

April 13, 2026 · Mars conjunct Neptune in Aries

Some of you have been here.

You reach for your edge and find… mist.

You try to think clearly and the thoughts dissolve before you can grab them. You set an intention and it goes slack. You know what you want, or you think you do, but every time you try to move toward it, something blurs, something softens, something shifts just enough to make you doubt whether you were ever really sure.

The fog is real.

And it has an astrological address.

On April 13th, Mars and Neptune will conjoin at approximately 3° Aries.

Mars: the sword-bearer. The warrior. The planet of precision, drive, will, and action.

Neptune: the great dissolver. Lord of dreams, illusions, spiritual longing, and the vast ocean of the unconscious.

When these two meet in the sky, especially in Aries — the sign of the pioneer, the initiator, the one who goes first — the energy is genuinely double-edged.

For those who cling to their illusions, their delusions of grandeur, their carefully constructed stories about how things are going to go: this conjunction strips the blade bare. Idealistic bubbles burst. Vague plans become impossible to sustain. The fog rolls in and what was never real to begin with simply… disappears.

That part can be painful.

But for those who are willing to let go of the fog — who are ready to trade Neptune’s dreamy vagueness for Mars’ knife-sharp clarity — this conjunction becomes something else entirely.

A forge.

Mars conjunct Neptune in Aries has the rare capacity to bring extraordinary discipline, energy, and verve to the domains that Neptune rules: the arts, creative work, spiritual practice, dreams that deserve to be made real.

You’ve seen it already. Mars entered Aries on April 9th. It will remain there until May 18th. Watch what happens to the artists, the dancers, the musicians, the spiritual practitioners who stop floating and start moving. Watch the creative fields come out swinging.

The blade is in the fire.

The question is whether yours comes out well-honed, or whether you hand it back to the fog.

The Work

The Well-Honed Blade is a four-day, personalized ceremony worked on your behalf beginning on April 13th, the day of the Mars-Neptune conjunction.

Before the work begins, we will connect via email so I can understand where this conjunction falls in your personal natal chart, what it activates, what it challenges, what it’s asking of you specifically. What fog needs to be cut through? What creative, artistic, or spiritual work needs the blade’s discipline and precision brought to bear on it? What vagueness needs to become specific, what passivity needs to become action, what dreaming needs to become doing?

I need to know where you are so I can meet you there.

On April 13th, I begin the ceremony and it concludes on April 16th.

That’s it. The magic does its work. You’ll know because the fog will clear, form and shape will come into definition, a new layer of discipline will land.

(I will only reach out after the ceremony if something arises that you need to know and act on.)

This Ceremony Is For You If…

You’re feeling foggy, scattered, or lost in the mist — and you need to reclaim your edge

You have an audacious creative, artistic, or spiritual undertaking and need to bring real discipline, determination, and energy to it

You want to sharpen your thinking, your choices, your language — less general and more precise, less vague and more specific, less passive and more active

You’re a maker, a dreamer, a practitioner — and you’re ready to stop floating and start cutting through

You feel the energy of this moment and you want it working for you, not at you

Questions?

What exactly happens during the ceremony?

I work a personalized ceremony on your behalf on April 13th. The specific form the work takes is determined by the needs of your chart and petition. After we’ve connected via email and I understand your situation, I’ll know what the blade requires.

Will I receive a report or recording?

No. When the work is done, it’s done. You’ll feel it. I’ll reach out only if something arises during the ceremony that you need to know and take action on.

What if I don’t know exactly what to ask for?

“I’m in the fog and I want out” is a complete petition. We’ll sort out the specifics in our email consultation.

How is this different from a Custom Magical Commission?

A Custom Magical Commission ($3,600) is a fully bespoke, extended working tailored to the full complexity of your situation. The Well-Honed Blade is a ceremony created for this specific astrological moment — focused, single-day, and priced to be accessible. It works with the energy of April 13th rather than working around it.

I’m a Fixed Stars Society member. How does this work for me?

This ceremony is included with your FSS membership. You’ve already received your personalized consultation through your guidebook, so we can move directly to the work. Watch for details in your member communications.
