Going to the Graveyard? Try this.
am headed out to a couple of graveyards today and wanted to share a quick and easy ceremony for protecting yourself and removing any negativity or funky vibes once you return home from the graveyard or after doing intense work with the Dead.
Sometimes we just don’t have time for a full on Sacred Bath, which I get in graveyard. However, water truly is the best (and most traditional) barrier between the living and the dead.
So, pour some warm water into a big bowl. Add rose petals, salt, rosemary, and lavender, and then use that water to wash your feet and your hands.
Once you are done, anoint your feet and hands with protective oil or a lotion that you love.
The feet and hands are seen as the most vulnerable areas of the body and so if you can cleanse and protect them then you are in good shape!
I’ll be teaching loads more about how to protect and create good boundaries between yourself/home and the spirits later this month in my Called to the Crossroads class.
