This is a post you will want to book mark and be able to refer back to as it has many of the essential astro dates you need to know.

Let’s begin to dive into the astrology of 2025!

We will begin with the various phases of the moon, check out the solar ingresses for 2025, and then look at things like those pesky Mercury Retrograde periods, eclipses, and the highlights for both the inner and outer planets.

Unlike the versions from years past of this astro guide, you will note that there are no questions or prompts to consider for each of the astrological events.

Now, for those of you who are relatively new to Astrology, don’t worry.

I keep this guide simple and straightforward so you can get a lot out of it.

Lunar and Solar Eclipses in 2025

There are four eclipses in 2025, they occur in the signs of Virgo, Aries, and Pisces. You can learn more about eclipses and how to work with them here. 

In short, I have found that eclipses are very useful for breaking long-held patterns of thought, behavior, attitude, and action that no longer serve. 

Many astrologers talk about eclipses in negative terms but don’t let that keep you from noting eclipse times and trying your hand at working with them in an intentional manner.

Mercury Retrogrades for 2025

Every planet has retrograde periods but most people are only familiar with Mercury Retrograde – mostly because many astrologers and non-astrologers alike make this period out to be terrible, full of bad luck, and extremely frustrating. It can be, but I prefer to practice with Mercury retrograde instead of in resistance to it.

Here are the dates for the 2024 Mercury Retrogrades:

March 15th – April 7th 2025: Retrograde starts at 1:46 AM in Aries at 9 degrees. Mercury retrogrades into the sign of Pisces on March 30th. Mercury stations direct on April 7th at 6:07 AM in Pisces at 27 degrees.

July 17th – August 11th 2025: Retrograde starts at 11:45 PM in Leo at 15 degrees. Mercury stations direct on August 11th at 2:50 AM in Leo at 4 degrees.

November 9th – November 29th 2025: Retrograde starts at 1:01 PM in Sagittarius at 6 degrees. Mercury retrogrades into the sign of Scorpio on November 18th. Mercury stations direct on November 29th at 11:38 AM in Scorpio at 20 degrees.

Inner Planet Awesome: Mercury, Venus, and Mars

These three inner planets move through the sky and around the zodiac relatively quickly which means that they make many transits throughout the year. Besides the Mercury Retrogrades listed above, there is a Mars retrograde that begins at the end of 2024 and carries into 2025 and a Venus Retrograde in the beginning of 2025. 

Mars Retrograde: December 6th 2024 – February 23rd 2025

Mars Retrograde begins at 5:33 PM in Leo at 6 degrees and stations direct on February 23rd 2025 at 8:00 PM in Cancer at 17 degrees.

Venus Retrograde: March 1st – April 12th 2025

Venus Retrograde begins at 7:36 PM in Aries at 10 degrees. Venus retrogrades into Pisces on March 27th at 3:40 AM. Venus stations direct on April 12th at 8:02 PM in Pisces at 24 degrees.

Outer Planet Amazement: Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune and Pluto

 

Jupiter in Gemini and Cancer

 

Jupiter in Gemini

May 25th 2024 – June 9th 2025 ~ Jupiter enters Gemini on May 25th 2024 at 6:15 PM and leaves Gemini on June 9th 2025 at 4:01 PM.

Jupiter in Cancer

June 10th 2025 – June 30th 2026 ~ Jupiter enters Cancer on June 9th at 4:01 PM and departs on June 30th 2026 at 12:52 AM when it moves into Leo. – Jupiter enters Gemini at 6:15 PM and remains in Gemini until June 10th 2025.

Jupiter Retrograde

There is a Jupiter Retrograde in 2025/2026 in the sign of Cancer.

November 11th 2025 – March 10th 2026: Retrograde starts at 10:41 AM in Cancer at 25 degrees. Jupiter stations direct on March 10th 2026 at 10:30 PM in Cancer at 15 degrees. For more on Jupiter Retrograde, please see this article.

Saturn in Pisces and Aries

March 7th, 2023 – May 24th 2025 and September 1st 2025 – February 13th 2026

Saturn in Aries

May 24th 2025 – September 1st 2025: Saturn enters Aries on May 24th at 10:35 PM and departs on September 1st at 3:05 AM when it retrogrades back into Pisces. 

Saturn Retrograde

There is a Saturn Retrograde in 2025 in the signs of Pisces and Aries.

July 12th 2025 – November 27th, 2025: Retrograde starts at 11:07 PM in Aries at 1 degree. 

Saturn retrogrades into Pisces on September 1st at 3:05 AM. Saturn stations direct on November 27th at 9:51 PM in Pisces at 25 degrees. For more on how to work with Saturn Retrograde, refer to this article.

Uranus in Taurus and Gemini

 

Uranus in Taurus

March 7th 10:28 AM – July 7th 2025 and November 7th 2025 – April 25th 2026

Uranus in Gemini

July 7th 2025 – November 7th 2025 and April 25th 2026 May 22nd 2033
Uranus enters Gemini at 2:45 AM and retrogrades back into Taurus at 8:21 PM on November 7th 2025. For more on Uranus in Taurus, see this article and offering.

Uranus Retrograde

There are actually two Uranus Retrograde periods in 2025.

September 1st 2024 – January 30th 2025: Retrograde begins at 10:18 AM in Taurus at 27 degrees. Uranus stations direct on January 30th at 10:22 AM in Taurus at 23 degrees.

September 5th 2025 – February 3rd 2026:Retrograde begins at 11:51 PM at 1 degree Gemini. On November 7th at 8:21 PM Uranus retrograde back into Taurus. Uranus stations direct on February 3rd 2026 at 8:33 PM at 28 degrees Taurus.

Neptune in Pisces and Aries

 

Neptune in Pisces

April 4th 2011 – March 30th 2025: Neptune enters Pisces on April 4th 2011 at 8:50 AM and departs on March 30th 2025 at 7:00 AM when it moves into Aries.

Neptune in Aries

March 30th 2025 – May 21st 2038: Neptune enters Aries on March 30th 2025 at 7:00 AM and departs on May 21st 2038 at 7:11 AM when it enters into Taurus.

Neptune Retrograde

There is a Neptune Retrograde in 2025 in the sign of Pisces.

July 4th, 2025 – December 10th, 2025: Retrograde starts at 4:33 PM in Aries at 2 degrees. On October 22nd 2025 Neptune Retrogrades into Pisces at 4:46 AM.  Neptune stations direct on December 10th at 6:23 AM in Pisces at 29 degrees. For more on Neptune Retrograde, see this article.

Pluto in Aquarius

 

Pluto in Aquarius

November 19th 2024 – March 8th 2043: Pluto enters into Aquarius on November 19th 2024 at 2:29 PM and departs on March 8th 2043 at 8:03 PM when it enters into Pisces.

Pluto Retrograde

There is a Pluto Retrograde in 2025 in Aquarius.

May 4th 2025 – October 11th, 2024: Retrograde begins at 10:27 AM in Aquarius at 3 degrees and stations direct on October 13th at 9:52 AM in Aquarius at 1 degree. For more on Pluto Retrograde see this article.
