For most people, there is no substance on earth that is more tied to our sense of security, well-being, and self-image than money.

 

When we are flush, we feel good, safe, and happy with ourselves. When we are struggling financially, we often feel the opposite: bad, insecure, and disappointed with ourselves.

 

You may have heard it said that Money is an energy. I have found that there is truth to this idea but its more…and less…complicated than that.

 

Money is a force, like gravity or the planet Jupiter.

 

And like any force, money is something we can align ourselves with..or something we can struggle against.

 

Also like any force, Money is impersonal.

 

The amount in your bank account doesn’t tell me a lot about who you are as a person…you may have millions of dollars that you inherited and have not done much with. Or, you may be a really creative and brilliant hard worker that is barely scraping by. Or, you might be quite wealthy due to your hard work and skill.

 

What the amount in your bank account DOES tell me is how aligned you are with Money as a force.

 

Put another way, it tells me…and more importantly…it tells YOU what your current relationship with Money is.

 

Dollars and Sense is about what your relationship with Money COULD be.

 

Because you CAN sit down and have a conversation with Money…just like you can have a conversation with the planet Jupiter or a beloved Holy Helper.
