What IS Magic Anyway?

So what IS Magical Arts anyway?

I am asked this question all of the time.

The word magic gets thrown around more now than ever – it is hot, on point, on trend.

And, like most things that are hot, on point, and on trend, the essential meaning can easily be overlooked, ignored or lost.

What are we talking about when we talk about magic?
What are we experiencing when we experience magic?

OK…I am going to define it for you…ready?!

Just kidding.

Of course, I am not going to define what magic is for you.

In my book, I never define what magic is. This is not a hedge on my part. I cannot define what magic is because above all else magic is relational.

I would be as successful at defining it for you as I would be in defining the partner you have chosen to spend your life with, the children you have raised, or the creatures you have loved and lived with.

Every single one is particular and unique – a potent mix of alchemy that cannot be replicated in any lab no matter how well equipped. The same is true about magic. It is a relationship between you and the extraordinary…the only way for you to get to know it is to get to know it.

Along those lines…I will be making a special announcement in the next few days about a fun way to help us do exactly that – get to know our own unique magic. It will be fun, exciting, and totally free.
